#MemberCrushMonday: Nina Gregg

What do you do outside of CrossFit?

I've worked in domestic violence since September 2018. Prior to that, I've spent 20 years working in childcare and/or teaching head start in low income communities. With a BA in child development and an MA in psychology, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Outside of working you'll most likely find me boogy'ing on a country or Latin dance floor, at a concert or trying to trying to talk someone into shenanigans.

What is something about you that would surprise us?

I have 7 tattoos. I'm afraid of masks but love themed parties and events.

What do you enjoy?

I love music, dancing, traveling (mostly to beaches) and game nights. I WILL beat you at Jenga! You may often find me floating down the Salt River during the summer, watching a UFC title match rooting for the underdog, or pretending like I hike when it's not too hot outside.

Why do you CrossFit?

Because I'm tired of being "skinny." No, really! All jokes aside: I CrossFit because it helps clear my head between work and home. My overall health and well being is better and I'd like to think my teenage daughters will follow my motivation...

What is your favorite CrossFit lift/workout?

I hear I'm pretty good at power cleans. I like the bear complex and I'd say my favorite WOD is 'macho man.'

Anything else you want to share...

I lived in the Seattle area from June 2011- Aug 2018. I miss it a lot. You'll most likely not see me much in the summer due to the excessive heat and the fact that I can not regulate body temperature well.
