#MemberCrushMonday: Alyssa Anderson
Hello! I am Alyssa! Right now, nursing student! So my life consists of study study study (insert eye roll haha) If I am not studying my life away, I am working as an ER tech mostly with the kids! I have a less than a week until I am done with nursing school!! If for some reason I find time between studying and working, I love being able to spend time with family and friends. On the rare occasion, my new husband, our pup, & I try to get out of town or get up north to a family cabin as much as possible to escape the heat and embrace the cold!
What is something about you that would surprise us?
I can be shy and kinda weird at first. But after that game over, I love to talk your ears off and still be weird! I also may be biased, but I have 4 of the cutest nephews that are my world and a little niece on the way!
How do you make a difference in the community?
I love my job because I get to work with kiddos who are not feeling the greatest or who are scared. I would love to give more to the community, and in the near future I hope I am able to give more.
Why do you choose to workout at Chuckwalla?
Its been a couple years in between Crossfit gyms for me, but in the short time of being here I have to say I am so happy I ended up here! I had being doing Crossfit for a few years but between school, work, moving, and just life happening I ended stopping Crossfit for what seems like a life time ago.. Its been a few years! Haha! I had a friend, hello Bree Zupet, to give me the push for months to come and try it out! My husband finally convinced me to try it again, because at one point it was my happy place and it always pushed me to be better. I have both of them to thank for pushing me to get back into this and I am so glad they did! How does Chuckwalla help you be strong for life? Crossfit changed my life a few years back and formed me into a better person. I have already noticed Chuckwalla has a strong, loving community that I am lucky experience. It is a great place to be able to challenge myself physically and mentally, and cannot wait to complain more about how each workout kicks my ass every time :D
What is your favorite lift/workout?
At the moment.. everything hurts but deadlifts have always had a special place!
