#MemberCrushMonday: Connor Colao.
Here is his story:
"Hi, I’m Connor Colao! I’m 13 years old and I started working out at Chuckwalla in the summer of 2021 and have seen results already! In my spare time I like to hang out with friends, play rugby and video games. I also work as a rugby referee to make extra money. Something that might surprise you about me is that over the last year I have been researching how to build a pc and this summer I built one, from scratch, entirely on my own (Told you I could do it dad)!
I try to make a difference in the community by volunteering at a regular event called Hope Fest where community members help the homeless through a day of free services like medical and dental care, haircuts, bike repair (that’s where I work) and food supplies. I also am a student leader at my school where I volunteer at numerous food banks and organize food drives for local food pantries like St. Vincent DePaul and St. Mary’s Food Bank.
I chose to workout at Chuckwalla because I needed to stay fit and improve my strength so I could be stronger for rugby and it has been AWESOME! Working out at Chuckwalla has helped me be strong in life because I’ve learned to discipline myself to do things I need to do to improve myself and learn life-long habits that will help me grow mentally and physically. My favorite lift is the deadlift."
