#MemberCrushMonday: Richelle Shultz.
It feels a bit bittersweet to introduce you to Richelle right before she transitions back to work. She's been with us over a year, and we will miss her! We hope she can get back to us soon.
What do you do with your time, for work, play, etc? I spend most of my time being a wife and mother to my soon to be 2 year old (in March!) When I’m not doing that I am also a musician (a violinist) and teacher. Come January I will actually be going back to teaching orchestra full time at a couple of elementary schools.
Why do you choose to workout at Chuckwalla? I love the support of the coaches at Chuckwalla and the friendliness of everyone. People are genuine and the coaches genuinely care about helping its members get stronger.
How does Chuckwalla help you be strong for life? Chuckwalla has helped and continues to help me recover from pregnancy and birth and helps me be able to better chase after and take care of my son.
What are your current fitness goals? My current fitness goals are to keep myself motivated to continue to get stronger. I was never involved in sports or anything athletic growing up. When I first started at Chuckwalla it was in the Rebuild: Strong Moms program and that was my first experience with CrossFit. Transitioning into the regular classes was intimidating at first and at times I still get intimidated by those around me. But I then I remember I am here for myself and it doesn’t matter if I can’t "keep up" with everyone else, I’m getting stronger and that is what matters.
Anything else you want to share… I am so thankful for Chuckwalla and Lauren in particular, this past year has been particularly rough for my family and the people I have met at Chuckwalla have made a huge difference in helping me endure through difficult times! Thank you Chuckwalla!
