This #MemberCrushMonday is on our new Barbell Club coach, Nathan Pruit! We are so excited to have him on board and to grow our Barbell Club!!
Here is his introduction:
"Hello! My name is Nathan Pruit! I'm extremely excited to be a part of the crew. Like you guys, I'm very much into health and fitness! Growing up I was fairly active and had interest in sports of all kinds, but my journey really began after an injury in 2014. I was at the start of another run at trying to be 'healthier,' when I tore my ACL in my right knee during a game of soccer. In order to achieve my goals & athletic pursuits I needed to take the recovery process very seriously. Using physical therapy as a starting point I was propelled into the world of strength and conditioning, which captivated me and drew me in. Fast forward a couple years later, I found CrossFit while searching for a coach for the Olympic lifts. I became enamored with the sport of fitness and the science behind movement. After training CrossFit and participating in 2 Opens, I made a switch to Olympic weightlifting exclusively in 2017. I still have so much admiration for CrossFit because of what it has done for weightlifting and what it continues to do for everyone who participates! I'm currently competing in Olympic weightlifting and have an upcoming meet on March 30th! I look forward to meeting everybody in our community and and the opportunity to help many grow stronger!"
