Here is her story:
What do you do outside of CrossFit?
I’m an attorney for a non-profit law firm that specializes in first amendment issues. I focus on Strategic Relations and Training.
I’ve also been a Pilates instructor at Reformed Pilates for the last 2 years.
What is something about you that would surprise us?
I got married at the same venue I was baptized (29 years apart). It’s an old church in Pittsburgh that was converted into a bed and breakfast called The Priory.
Another fun fact is that Michael and I met over our (originally my) Bernese Mountain Dog Bailee when she was a puppy—and lots of Snooze pineapple upside down pancakes.
What do you enjoy?
Being a transplant to Phoenix, I love all of the year round outdoor activities- hiking, trail running, and camping. I also love entrepreneurship which has led me to volunteering at Hustle PHX and Hope Women’s Center.
Why do you CrossFit?
The workouts are amazing - exactly what I needs postpartum. I love the mix of strength and cardio. But most importantly, our family has LOVED the community and the community involvement.
What is your favorite CrossFit lift/workout?
Favorite Lift is the bench press! There’s much room to grow. Favorite workout so far is The Sevens. Coming from a strong military family, it has a lot of meaning and it’s a killer workout.
