Spring Fling Virtual Comp 


We don't want to miss the fun and friendly competition of our 2nd Annual Spring Fling!

So we are moving this partner competition ONLINE.

Register with your partner to compete in our virtual fitness competition, from your home! 

(each of you must fill out the form below individually) 

 

There will be 3 workouts and a floater that you and your partner have one week to complete!

(From 5/2 - 5/8/20) 

 

Teams are male + female, one scaled & one RX OR BOTH scaled. (Can switch up who goes scaled / RX) 

Division Standards:⁣
RX: double unders, 50/35lb dbs, hand stand push-ups, v-ups⁣
Scaled: singles, 35/20lb dbs, push-ups/knee push-ups, sit-ups⁣


Workouts will be done via Zoom! That means:

1) You can partner with someone even if they aren't quarantined with you!
2) The workouts will be recorded and reviewed to verify scores.

Registration is "pay what you can," because we know there is financial uncertainty right now & we don't want

an entry fee to be a barrier. Any funds paid for the competition will be used to support Chuckwalla!

Official Rules:

  1. Both partners must do the workout “together” (can physically be together OR can be on Zoom at the same time from separate locations.) Either way, the workout MUST BE captured on Zoom. This will automatically record the workout and we will be reviewing workouts. Zoom link will be in Wodify with the workouts.

    • The competition is from 5/2/20 at 7am through 5/8/20 at 10pm MST. 

    • You might catch other teams working out at the same time in the Zoom room, and that is ok! Try to beat them 😉

    • Both you, your partner, the equipment and the clock must be clearly visible in the shot. Before you start, show the equipment up close.

    • When you enter your score in Wodify, put the date & time of day the workout was completed at, as well as your partner’s name and your division. **Pick a team captain and only one of you will sign in & enter scores to Wodify**

    • Zoom should record automatically, but make sure you see the “record” flashing in the left corner.

  2. One male,one female per team 

    • For the Rx/Scaled division, athletes can switch up who performs the Rx or scaled requirements per workout, but not WITHIN the workout

    • For scaled/scaled division both athletes perform the scaled requirements. If one athlete needs to scale the scaled requirements, the workout score will be ranked after athletes who meet all scaled requirements.

    • Division Standards:⁣

      • RX: double unders, 50/35lb dumbbells*, handstand push-ups, v-ups⁣

      • Scaled: singles, 35/20lb dumbbells*, push-ups/knee push-ups, sit-ups⁣

            *we will assist with setting up equipment exchanges for those w/o the appropriate dumbbells

  1. There will be 3 workouts and 1 floater. All 4 events must be completed by 10pm MST on 5/8/20. All 4 workouts will be released on 5/2/20.

    • Workouts can be attempted multiple times if desired, best scores submitted by 10pm 5/8/20

    • Scores will be entered in Wodify (under the program “Events,” all WODs will be posted on the date 5/2/20, sign-in to that day and enter your results). Final scores due 5/8/20 10pm MST.

      • When you enter your score in Wodify, put the date & time of day the workout was completed at, your partner name and your division. **Pick a team captain and only one of you will sign in & enter scores to Wodify**

    • Record every workout on Zoom, even if you think you’ll repeat it (More on that in point 1)

    • Workouts will be reviewed and scores will be finalized by Monday 5/11 5pm MST, to announce the winners.

      • There will be penalties for no-reps and for not following any above stated rules.
